NND Techlabs ("we", "our", or "us") built the Know Your Labels application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

The App requests access to your device's camera. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, photos, or images to external servers unless explicitly stated below.

Camera Access

The App uses the device camera solely to capture images of product labels for real-time analysis. Camera access is required for the core functionality of the App — scanning and reading labels.

AI Processing

Captured images may be processed using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) services to extract, analyze, and interpret label information. This processing may occur:

• On-device: Where possible, label analysis is performed locally on your device.
• Cloud-based: In some cases, images may be sent to secure cloud-based AI services for processing. These images are used solely for label analysis and are not stored permanently.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the data collected through the camera exclusively to:

• Scan and recognize product labels
• Extract text and nutritional/ingredient information from labels using AI
• Display analyzed results to you within the App

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the App's core functionality.

3. Data Storage and Retention

• Images captured by the camera are processed in real time and are not permanently stored on our servers.
• Temporary processing data may be retained only for the duration required to complete the analysis and is deleted immediately afterward.
• We do not maintain a database of user images or label scans.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. Image data may be transmitted to trusted AI/ML service providers solely for the purpose of label analysis, subject to their own privacy and security policies.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data during transmission and processing, including encryption and secure communication protocols (HTTPS/TLS).

6. Your Rights

You may:

• Revoke camera permissions at any time through your device settings
• Uninstall the App to stop all data collection
• Contact us to request information about your data

7. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party AI/ML services for label processing. These services operate under their own privacy policies and are contractually obligated to handle data securely and only for the purposes we specify.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
